Have you ever had an experience with food that you will remember for years to come? There are a few of those foodgasmic experiences that come every so often, when the stars align, my my taste buds ignite, and I can’t help but say, “Oh my God!” One of those experiences was at the Crepevine years ago in San Francisco on Irving St. Like an old, but never forgotten romance, I reminisced about this French crepe love affair and suggested going to the Crepevine on Irving Street after working out with my brother. I wasn’t terribly hungry, but usually can’t resist dessert and definitely couldn’t resist an opportunity to meet up with Bananniekins, a girl whose sweet tooth rivals mine. Although a worthy adversary, Anniekins and I instead chose to join forces to murder the Sweet Crepe named the “Sunset,” filled with Strawberries, Bananas, and Nutella, drizzled with chocolate sauce and surrounded by whipped cream and ice cream. It was a good night, I slept tight, but I did let the sweet tooth bite!
Yummy, I want too 🙂
There is no place in South Florida to find a crepe let alone a good French crepe. I will just have to imagine you enjoyng yours….
It looks rich and delicious…
ohhh i am so jealous…looks like such a cool place…i just adore crepes…lovely post..sarah
I do too! They have wonderful places in San Francisco, so I seem to crave them more when I visit, I haven’t found anything comparable in LA area.. Yet.. Thanks Sarah, hope you are enjoying your weekend!
This looks amazing!
🙂 thinking about it makes me want another
It was amazing, looking at it makes me want another 🙂
“Sunset” sounds like a delectable combination! 🙂
It’s one of my absolute favorites of all time. Crepes hold a special place in my stomach’s heart… because my stomach must have one given how much it loves food.
haha.. understood. 🙂 I have an extra (but smaller) stomach that is reserved for bubble tea with friends.
I absolutely LOVE bubble tea. My favorite is honey green tea with pink boba. I am crazy about it.
I seem to go in phases.. Sometimes I like to order fresh papaya milk with no pearls or there was awhile that I ordered hot wheatgerm / malt milk tea. In the summer I like to get the fresh watermelon juice or slushie (pearls on the side!). At a new place or when I’m undecided I usually default back to the regular milk tea with pearls or house special with pearls.
Ooooh, i love fresh fruit juice, especially watermelon juice! I know, I always end up going my to my default honey green tea after I try a new one.. I guess we all like what we like 🙂
